Le Chat Noir (French for "The Black Cat") was a 19th-century cabaret in the bohemian Montmartre district of Paris. Apparently, even Picasso wanted to have a go.
The cabaret has a few follow-on's today. And the catchy name did just that, with hotels, restaurants and the like all over the world honouring the name and the iconic image...
Théophile-Alexandre Steinlen poster art is generally nifty... this one has always done it for me though... The original now lives here.
